Little Store
1. The manner in which Eudora organized the reminiscent begins with herself at home with her mother, personally describing her mother. It leads to her journey to the little store, the kids she encounters and interacted with, the actual time at the store and the time spent with Mr. Sessions and finally the journey home.
The games she played with her neighborhood friends was the focal point to her journey. I believe, to her, the journey to the store was almost like an excuse to go out and play. It parallels her feelings towards going the store. It was fun. Her recount of this journey has been excitement following one after the other. To her, the description of the games were her points of happiness. She felt excited playing with her friends while also frightened by the thought of her Principal coming out. Her fear acted as a perspective from the child. As adults, the fear of authority changes. It becomes less of fear and more of an irritation. But the episode of her reaching the doors of her principal's house, the description of her emotions brings the readers back to the same fear a child has for authority.
2. Frightening is how I would describe the storekeeper. To me, it is the look that presents as angry and mean but I feel his posture and the way the light shines in is contrasting to the face. The way his sits is relaxed and friendly, a little feminine. He looks welcoming. It is until you look at the face do you begin feeling the discomfort. The light also shines on him in a very good way. The majority of him is in light and it shows him in a saintly shine.
